Lyrics for Grilled Cheese by Martha Hill:

Verse 1
My baby messes me around
Yeah she don’t love me anymore
And I know that for sure
She put her hands in the air
Then the air turned sour
We stood like that for an hour. x2

Verse 2
When my baby makes me grilled cheese
She puts raw onion on it
But she knows I don’t want it
So I pick them off
And then she’s mad at me
She tells me I’m a control freak

Chorus
Baby I still go for gold
I still go for gold
Baby I still go for gold
I still go for gold

Verse 3
I drink your kerosene
But I don’t like it when your mean
Oh oh oh ooh
I borrow your light
Set fire to my mind
Oh oh oh ooh

Verse 4
My baby messes mе around
Yeah she don’t love me anymore
And I know that for sure
She put her hands in the air
Then the air turned sour
We stood like that for an hour

Baby I still go for gold
I still go for gold
Baby I still go for gold
I still go for gold

I drink your kerosene
But I don’t like it when your mean
Oh oh oh ooh
I borrow your light
Set fire to my mind

I walk into the room, and I’m a stranger
I wish that we could feel better
Let’s talk it out cause I can’t do without you
I wish that we could feel better. x2

Then the air turned sour
We stood like that for an hour. x2

My baby messes me around
Yeah she don’t love me anymore
