Lyrics for GLAM! by Allie X:

Intro
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh

Verse 1
I left the suburbs, I left my mother
Into neon light
I'm not alone though
My alter ego keeps me warm at night, ha

Pre-Chorus
I have a thirst
And I've got the nerve
There's no way I can turn back
So give me your hand
And warm up the band
Spotlight, love me forever

Chorus
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
It's you, you that I treasure
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
Will you love me forever?
All that I need, I'll find out a way
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
Love me, love me forever

Verse 2
Blood on the sidewalk
I pull up my kneesocks and I'll dance around
I am a dreamer, a reckless believer
I could run this town

Pre-Chorus
And I'll be the girl
That changes the world
I'm so close, I can taste it
So give me a chance
And give me your hand
Spotlight, love me forever

Chorus
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
It's you, you that I treasure
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
Will you love me forever?
All that I need, I'll find out a way
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
Love me, love me forever

Bridge
It's time I get it right
The neon lights and stars align
So take me all the way
Give it up, give it up
Because I'm going up
I'm going up, ooh-ooh

Chorus
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
It's you, you that I treasure
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
Will you love me forever?
All that I need, I'll find out a way
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh
Love me, love me forever

Song Facts

“Glam!” was first intended to be released on Allie X’s debut EP titled “Collxtion I” back in 2015, however it didn’t make the cut.

In November 2020, Allie announced the repressing of “Collxtion I + II” vinyls, including previously unreleased songs (such as “Glam!”).

The song was finally released on streaming platforms on February 5th, 2021.

The synth-pop track is about Allie’s pursuit of fame and fortune in her music career, detailing her move from the Toronto suburbs to the city of Los Angeles, where she hoped she’d get her big break. The lyrics depict a girl with big dreams and hopes who has not yet “made it” in the music industry, a theme which coincides with the intended release of the track and that period of Allie’s life.
