“Father Stretch” is a new gospel rendition of the popular Kanye West song, “Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1” featuring artist Kid Cudi, from his album The Life of Pablo. It talks about submitting our will as Christians to the Father (Jesus/God) despite our own pride. It also describes how far-reaching the love of God is. The refrain compares one’s blessings

As countless as the stars

This also alludes to the story in the Bible about God’s covenant (or promise) to Abraham about his future descendants being “as many as the stars.” Genesis 22:17 states this clearly here:
